How To Add Links To Your Web Pages

Linking from one web page to another was one of the reasons the World Wide Web was developed.

Elastic makes it very easy to link.  Here is how.

Linking From One Internal Page On Your Elastic Website To Another

Step 1

Go to the edit version of the page where you want the link to appear.

Step 2

Highlight the text that you want to be your link text or click on an image.

Step 3

Click on Links>Global in the tool bar above where you are typing.

Step 4

Scroll to the page that you want to link to and click on it.  The link will now be inserted.

Step 5

Save the page and your link will be live.

Linking From One Internal Page On Your Elastic Website To An External Page On Another Website

Step 1

Go to the edit version of the page where you want the link to appear.

Step 2

Highlight the text that you want to be your link text or click on an image.

Step 3

Click on Links>Add in the tool bar above where you are typing.

Step 4

Type the url of the page you want without http://

Step 5

Add a useful title for the link.

Step 6

If you think you will use the link again then tick the "add to global links" box.  Next time you will be able to use Global Links to quickly add your link.

Step 7

Save the page and your link will be live.
